5-Amino-1MQ
5-Amino-1-Methylquinolinium / NNMT inhibitor
A potent, cell-permeable inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), an enzyme overexpressed in adipose tissue that contributes to fat accumulation and metabolic dysfunction. By blocking NNMT, 5-Amino-1MQ increases NAD+ levels within fat cells, enhances intracellular SAM (methyl donor), and shifts adipocyte metabolism toward lipolysis. In preclinical studies, treated mice on high-fat diets showed significant reductions in body weight and fat mass without changes in food intake.

How 5-Amino-1MQ is dosed in practice
Usually taken by mouth. Typical range: 50–100 mg/day oral. Half-life: ~11–12 hours. Each card gives the dose, frequency and duration from one evidence lane: Clinical (human trials), Expert (practitioner protocols) or Experimental (early or animal data). These ranges describe what has been studied or used; they are not a prescription.
Work out the units to draw with the reconstitution calculator, how long a vial lasts with the vial duration calculator, and how levels fall between doses with the half-life calculator.
Growing popularity in the biohacking and weight loss community. Users report modest fat loss (3–5 lbs over 4–6 weeks) without appetite changes, consistent with the mechanism of action. Generally well-tolerated. Some users stack with other metabolic compounds. Limited long-term safety data in humans.
