Hexarelin
Examorelin / HEX / Growth Hormone Releasing Hexapeptide
A synthetic hexapeptide GH secretagogue that produces a large GH pulse. With twice-daily use for 16 weeks the GH response partly fades, recovering after a break. It also binds receptors in the heart, and single IV doses raised heart pumping function in small studies. Not FDA-approved.

How Hexarelin is dosed in practice
Usually taken by subcutaneous (SubQ) injection. Typical range: 100–200 mcg per injection, 1–2x/day. Half-life: ~70 minutes. Each card gives the dose, frequency and duration from one evidence lane: Clinical (human trials), Expert (practitioner protocols) or Experimental (early or animal data). These ranges describe what has been studied or used; they are not a prescription.

Twice-daily SubQ hexarelin for 16 weeks partly blunted the GH response, which recovered 4 weeks after stopping, and did not change IGF-1, body composition or bone density. Single IV doses acutely raised heart ejection fraction in some patients; intranasal and oral forms were tested in children.
- 16-week SubQ trial in adults (1998, 1999)
- Intranasal and oral studies in children (1995, 1996)
- IV cardiac study (2002)
Used in short pulses (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off) for maximum GH stimulation. The cardioprotective angle makes it uniquely valuable for patients with cardiac concerns. Some practitioners use it specifically for post-cardiac event recovery in peptide-friendly clinics. Must cycle strictly to avoid desensitization.

Community knows hexarelin as the strongest but shortest-acting GHRP. Users report intense GH flush and hunger within minutes. Tachyphylaxis is well-documented — most users limit to 2-week bursts. Some use it specifically for the cardiac benefits rather than GH optimization.

Hexarelin: common questions
What is Hexarelin?
A synthetic hexapeptide GH secretagogue that produces a large GH pulse. With twice-daily use for 16 weeks the GH response partly fades, recovering after a break. It also binds receptors in the heart, and single IV doses raised heart pumping function in small studies. Not FDA-approved.
How is Hexarelin dosed?
Hexarelin is usually taken by subcutaneous (SubQ) injection. Typical range in DoseCraft's library: 100–200 mcg per injection, 1–2x/day. Clinical (human trials): 1.5 mcg/kg SubQ twice daily (adults); intranasal and oral regimens in children; Twice daily; Up to 16 weeks (SubQ); up to 8 months (intranasal, children). Expert (practitioner protocols): 100–200 mcg SC, 1–2x/day; 1–2 times daily, strict 2-week cycles; 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, repeat as needed. Experimental (early or animal data): 100–200 mcg per injection; 1–2 times daily; 2 weeks max, then switch to ipamorelin or GHRP-2. These ranges describe what has been studied or used; they are not a prescription.
Is Hexarelin FDA-approved?
No. Hexarelin is not approved by the FDA for any use in people.
What is the half-life of Hexarelin?
DoseCraft's library lists a half-life of ~70 minutes. Half-life sets how often a compound is dosed and how long it takes to clear: about five half-lives.
Who should not use Hexarelin?
Listed contraindications: Active cancer (strongest GH stimulus of all GHRPs); Hyperprolactinemia (significant prolactin elevation at higher doses); Cushing's syndrome or adrenal insufficiency (elevates cortisol).
