Kisspeptin-10

KP-10 / Metastin

Kisspeptin-10 is the shortest active form of kisspeptin, a hormone that triggers GnRH release and so raises LH, FSH and testosterone. Small human studies show IV doses raise LH in men and in women near ovulation, but not early in the cycle. Its plasma half-life is about 4 minutes, and it is not FDA-approved.

Evidence Overview

Strength of evidence across clinical, expert, and experimental lanes.

How Kisspeptin-10 is dosed in practice

Usually taken by subcutaneous (SubQ) injection. Typical range: No established dose. Half-life: ~4 minutes (IV). Each card gives the dose, frequency and duration from one evidence lane: Clinical (human trials), Expert (practitioner protocols) or Experimental (early or animal data). These ranges describe what has been studied or used; they are not a prescription.

Small human physiology studies, not therapeutic trials. In healthy men, IV bolus doses of 0.01–3 mcg/kg raised LH within 30 minutes, peaking at 1 mcg/kg; continuous infusion increased LH pulse frequency and testosterone (2011). Women responded only near ovulation, not in the early follicular phase (2011). In men with type 2 diabetes and low testosterone, an 11-hour infusion raised LH and testosterone (2013). Head-to-head, IV kisspeptin-10 and kisspeptin-54 gave similar LH rises, both weaker than GnRH (2015). In healthy men, SubQ infusions 8 hours a day kept LH and testosterone raised for 12 days (2026). Plasma half-life is about 4 minutes versus about 28 minutes for kisspeptin-54.

Dose0.01–3 mcg/kg IV bolus in men (largest LH rise at 1 mcg/kg); about 13 mcg/kg (10 nmol/kg) IV bolus in women near ovulation
FrequencySingle doses or continuous IV infusion for up to 22.5 hours; one study gave SubQ infusions 8 hours a day

Early biohacking community interest as a natural HPG axis stimulator. Some users explore kisspeptin as PCT (post-cycle therapy) alternative. Very limited self-experimentation data — primarily remains a clinical research tool.

How is Kisspeptin-10 dosed?

Kisspeptin-10 is usually taken by subcutaneous (SubQ) injection. Typical range in DoseCraft's library: No established dose. Clinical (human trials), intravenously (IV): 0.01–3 mcg/kg IV bolus in men (largest LH rise at 1 mcg/kg); about 13 mcg/kg (10 nmol/kg) IV bolus in women near ovulation; Single doses or continuous IV infusion for up to 22.5 hours; one study gave SubQ infusions 8 hours a day; Hours, or 12 days in the SubQ infusion study. Experimental (early or animal data): 10 mcg/kg per dose; 1–2x daily; 2–4 weeks (experimental). These ranges describe what has been studied or used; they are not a prescription.

Is Kisspeptin-10 FDA-approved?

No. Kisspeptin-10 is not approved by the FDA for any use in people.

What is the half-life of Kisspeptin-10?

DoseCraft's library lists a half-life of ~4 minutes (IV). Half-life sets how often a compound is dosed and how long it takes to clear: about five half-lives.
