Leuphasyl (Pentapeptide-18)
Pentapeptide-18 / Leuphasyl
A pentapeptide that reduces wrinkles through a completely different mechanism than Argireline/SNAP-8. Instead of blocking SNARE complex formation, Leuphasyl mimics enkephalin and binds to the enkephalin receptor on the presynaptic neuron, reducing calcium influx and subsequently decreasing acetylcholine release. This 'upstream' inhibition makes it highly synergistic with Argireline's 'downstream' SNARE inhibition.

How Leuphasyl (Pentapeptide-18) is dosed in practice
Usually taken on the skin. Typical range: Topical serum — typically 3–8% concentration. Half-life: N/A (topical application). Each card gives the dose, frequency and duration from one evidence lane: Clinical (human trials), Expert (practitioner protocols) or Experimental (early or animal data). These ranges describe what has been studied or used; they are not a prescription.
Work out the units to draw with the reconstitution calculator, how long a vial lasts with the vial duration calculator, and how levels fall between doses with the half-life calculator.
The 'peptide trifecta' in skincare communities: Argireline + SNAP-8 + Leuphasyl for maximum expression line reduction. Leuphasyl is less well-known but valued for its unique mechanism. DIY formulators add it at 5% alongside Argireline for the documented synergy. Standalone effects are modest.
